After 3 months of waiting and one month of not know what was going on, Chris contacted a senator. Just after that everything went smoothly. I'm very disappointed with the work of those people who process such papers. 2009-09-17

They asked him several questions, a lot of them were surprisingly about the petitioner's job. Like really specific questions about her job. They didn't ask for any additional evidence, they took only the basic required documents from him. The interview went well all the way until the end when the consular officer gave him the packet with his immigrant rights and the 221g requesting additional information. The consular officer told him he needed to answer the questions from the paper she gave him via email and that they will get back to him with a decision a couple of weeks later = AP, administrative processing aka worst nightmare. They also gave him his passport back and original birth certificate. We emailed the embassy with our answers in the afternoon on 6/24, a few hours after the interview, no confirmation or reply. 06/25/21 - Petitioner emailed USEM Warsaw again to ask for a status update on our AP. USEM Warsaw initially replied back confirming they received our additional information email and that they will forward that info to the DOS for a background check. One hour later USEM Warsaw emailed us again and said that they reviewed our case file again and there is no need for an additional background check and asked the beneficiary to present himself at the embassy in the morning of 06/28 so they can issue his visa and stamp in his passport. 06/28/21 - Beneficiary went back to the embassy with his passport. They didn't ask him anything, just took his passport and told him to present himself at the embassy the next day to pick up his passport/visa. 06/29/21 - Beneficiary picked up his passport with his visa! 2023-01-19
