(2) Although I included plenty of statements and photos showing that we have been physically together repeatedly, they want some sort of third-party proof of that, like airline ticket stubs (who keeps those??) or passport stamps. I'll send some barely legible passport stamps and United Airlines records of some of my flights. Update: My fiance mailed his statement of intent to marry, but after three weeks, I still had not received it! So I made a short trip to Yucatan to get it. They received my RFE response packet on 2017-11-28. May 2018: As required, Victor had a medical exam a few days before his scheduled May 7th interview. But his x-rays showed a scar on his lung. Now the interview is delayed for more than 8 weeks while he gets tested for tuberculosis. July 2018: No TB, but they *assigned* a new interview date that doesn't work for us, and it can't be changed until *after* that date passes!! GRRRR! We won't be able to get Victor's interview until sometime in September or October Details: https://cultivatingoutrage.blogspot.com/2018/07/more-stupid-rules.html January 2019: We had a new interview date in mid-December, but at that time, they said the medical exam was now out-of-date and would have to be repeated! Of course, the new medical exam showed the same damn lung x-ray spot that they previously determined was not TB, so they have to determine that again! Another 8-week wait! GRRRR! Details: http://cultivatingoutrage.blogspot.com/2018/12/visa-more-damn-delays.html April 2019: The interview went OK, but they now want us to mail in several documents: an updated official police report showing that Victor still hasn't been arrested (we had one a year ago; now they want another), and both Victor and my birth certificates, which I can't understand, since they've seen our passports! At least we don't have to return to Juarez. Anyway, we are also to include Victor's current passport. That's a sign that they will, finally, paste a visa in it! May 2019: Online on May 1, it said "Issued". On May 6, I received an email saying it had been shipped. It arrived May 7. BUT IT EXPIRES MAY 15 !!!??? No one can tell me why! Victor's medical exam was in December, but the TB tests weren't complete until mid-February. His interview was April 4. The expiration date is ridiculous, but that's what it says! Marriage: July 10, 2019. [I see "Marriage" on my timeline, but I can't edit it there. Here, in "Editing your timeline", I can't find "marriage" !?] 2023-04-16
