The USCIS agent asked us a trick question: "Where is your husband." and after a 24 hour day of non-stop travelling we both tiredly pointed at Adam. The Consulate wrote "Do not try to contact us, we will call you and schedule your appointment as soon as we are ready". Elena waited and waited and there were no news. She decided to call them and they seemed like they'd forgotten about our case, so good thing she called. The interview itself was mainly administrative revision of our documents. Elena was asked a few basic questions about our relationships and how we met. Nothing too hard. She was told that the visa was approved and would be printed out within the next 3-4 business days. We were happy waiting, but again there were no news after a few days. We tracked it online (US Embassy in Bern), saw that it was issued a few days ago, however we decided to call again since Elena still did not get it. Again, the Embassy promised that everything was sent out in the mail, but could not provide a tracking number. Later, when the mail arrived, the tracking number definitely said that the mail was sent 2 days later than Elena was told on the phone. So, big advice for those dealing with this Embassy, don't be shy to call them if you do not want to be forgotten and want to get your visa asap!	2019-02-26
