I had an appointment at 08:30, got in around 08:05. Submitted the documents and waited maybe around 20-25 minutes. I think it’s better to enter the embassy as early as they let you in because I guess that most of the first appointments are at 08:30 so there were quiet a crowd around that time, and I guess I would had waited much longer if I had arrived around 08:30. The immigration officer was nice and chill, he helped me relax a little bit as I was nervous 😂just asked several questions •when we started dating •where/how we met •where is my fiancé at the moment 2023-05-17

When we felt that something was not right about our wait for the new case number from NVC, we asked Maryland State Senator Van Hollen to help locate our case - and they did. Without their intervention, USCIS would have kept telling us they are backlogged and we should just keep waiting and waiting. After that everything went smooth! 2024-04-06
