They are usually responsive within 2-3 working days and they tend to reply in the late afternoon, between 3pm to 5pm. Register at CGI portal (https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/ )so that you can book an interview date. However, do only book an appointment after your medical report has been received by the embassy. I tried to book an interview appointment once I have set my medical appointment, assuming that there would be ample time for the medical report to reach embassy....BUT, embassy emailed me to cancel the appointment since my they did not have my medical report. They also threatened to lower my priority if I continue to hold onto the interview date... Pivot Clinic (the designated clinic for visa medical check-up) provides great service. No complaints on this. Just call the clinic before you book the appointment online via their website. They told me that they would mail the report to the embassy within the next 10 days...so do manage your expectations! I tried my luck to call the clinic and check if they managed to send it within the next 2-3 working days...but nah, no such luck..my medical appointment was on 10th May and the clinic emailed me to inform that they will send the report to embassy via local courier on 17th May. So yea...takes about a week for the medical report to reach the embassy after medical appointment. Once the embassy emails you to inform that they have received your medical report, you may proceed to book an appointment. Appointments are rare and I have heard that many had to enter the portal daily (not more than 3 times, or you may get locked out) to try their luck. It seemed like many managed to get an interview date after about 1-1.5 weeks of trying. As for me, I requested the embassy to expedite my case since my NOA2 validity was expiring (super stressful since it’s amidst the heightened Phase 2 situation in SIngapore) and I had to be in US to plan for my wedding...There was no response from the embassy specifically but I got an interview date the next time I logged in. So... you may want to email them too if your situation is similar to mine. I would like to think it worked for me. The interview went well. My appointment to enter the embassy was at 9.15am and I left at 10.20am. So it took about an hour in total. For the interview, I went to the first counter to submit the documents. Then, I was given a copy of the IMBRA pamphlet (on domestic violence and how to seek help in US) before heading to the second counter to answer questions. Questions were: 1. What is your fiancé’s name? 2. When did the both of you meet? 3. What are your wedding plans? 4. What does he work as? 5. What do you know about the IMBRA pamphlet? 6. What do you do should you meet with domestic violence? (Call 911) Then the officer told me my visa was approved at the end of the interview and it should reach me in a week. Note: Visa status on CEAC tracker will likely change to “administrative processing†before “issuedâ€. This is normal. Status “administrative processing†will last about 1- 2 business days after the interview. The moment it turns to “issuedâ€, you can expect your visa to arrive in the next working day. There will be an email sent to you the moment the packet is out for delivery. The tracking number is found within the email. Do remember to do your pre-departure covid swab within 72 hours before your flight. Result comes in within 24 hours. | 2021-06-07 | ||||
