The process was a little stressful because there were many people there, but went smoothly. he paid less than 90k at the bank for his exams and then took additional vaccines that he had to pay extra for. Results were out within 2 days, so for those of you who are running out of time, contact the Abj clinic and they'll share with you what the time-frame is looking like. Grace and peace to your immigration journey. Visa interview- I left the mainland to the island a day before interview to stay close to the consulate. (The fear of traffic jam is the success of visa approval). I didn't sleep till 2am just rearranging documents making sure nothing was forgotten. I did this like 20 times over. I managed to have 3 hours of sleep (will I even call that sleeping)? Just about 5am I had my fiancee's cousin drive me straight to the consulate. Note- you'll see hawkers parading themselves as workers. They are not employed by the US embassy, so be careful. It was a sea of humanity, however my stature was helpful as I squeezed myself to the front line. Please know that k1 visa is an immigrant visa, but the ds-160 may say Non-immigrant visa, just forget that and get in the IMMIGRANT line do everything the require from immigrants. Pls don't ask me why because I'm already in the US now lols. After the long security check, we're inside the consulate. Once you're inside the consulate proper, there is 2 processes before final interview, and they're as followed: 1. the number given to you through the pass and check will be written on your passport or the form given to you. Once you get it, you'll submit your documents (photocopy everything before coming for the interview bc they wont do it for you). Endeavor to go with original birth certificate, but make photocopy, submit police report, then sit to be called again. Then you'll submit affidavit of support, your medicals, thumbprints, then sit again for the final interview. You number will be called to the window that you'll be interviewed. Be CONCISE & PRECISE with your answers. Try not to argue because you may end up offending the interviewers. Try not to prove too much as you don't sound defensive. Wear a smile but not smile to much. They don't want to grant you a visa because they're not sure if you're telling the truth or not just know that and play cool (winks) Questions asked 1. how did you meet your fiance? 2. They asked if it was an arranged marriage. Just say no They asked questions based on my answers, so if you're direct, they won't have time digging up questions, so if you talk too much they'll have things to ask. Don't be overdressed and be sure to bring a handkerchief. Look smart yet simple. Wear confidence as a robe and look cheerful. Your appearance matters, so don't look hungry, and don't be in a haste because you may not leave till 1pm. Some were denied visa because the affidavit of support was inadequate so make sure you met the criteria. During the interview don't panic, think but not too long. Don't answer what you don't understand. you can ask them to repeat, but don't ask for this too much. Don't talk rubbish, and don't form accent. They can speak pigin English more than you sef. You'll be approved by God's grace. If this helps, look for me and sow a seed lol. I'm now in the US happily with my fiance who'll be my wife in couple hours by law!!
