INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE: My husband arrived at the embassy at exactly 7:50 am. He was quickly ushered in, went through security and such. He got his fingerprints done - all ten fingers. Afterwards he met with a woman who asked for his interview letter, medical reports and passport. She applied a purple/maroonish/burgundy sticker to his passport and gave him the token piece (which is for picking up the passport once its been issued). She then gave him a long blue/green letter which basically stated that "We have suspended the adjudication of your visa to conduct administrative processing." She also gave him back all of my original documents that I submitted for this case earlier. He was asked to take a seat and a CO would call him for an interview soon. After about two minute after my husband took a seat he was called in for an interview. The CO was an older american man. He greeted my husband and asked the following: Q. Who is calling you to america? A. My wife Q. When did you get married? A. he gave our wedding date Q. How long have you and your wife been together? A. we have known each other our entire lives, but have been in a relationship for the last 10 years. Q. Is this a love marriage or arranged? A. Both. My wife and I fell in love and were together first and it was only after that we found out that our parents were setting up an arrange marriage between us but were worried we wouldn't get along. Q. Who from her family attended the wedding? A. Her entire family came for the wedding Q. Who is your co-sponsor? A. My father-in-law Q. When is the last time you contacted your wife? A. we were on the phone together all morning up until I got on the shuttle to come here today He then told my husband.... congratulations your approved, everything looks good and we don't need anything further from you at this time, all your documents are in order BUT we need to do some office work on our side and you should expect to receive your visa in 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 2 months, 6 month or maybe more. All in all, my husband spent approximately 45 minutes in the embassy. 2011-12-29
