Texas | California | Dominican Republic | 2013-04-29 | 2013-05-07 | 2013-07-26 | 2013-08-22 | 2013-09-10 | 2013-11-25 | 2014-01-04 | 2014-01-25 | 210* | 8 | 80 | 122 | On nov 25th 2013 me and my Dominican fiance had our interview for her K1 Visa. We arrived at the embassy at 4am and waited in line until 6:30am which was when they handed out tickets. We were ticket number 40. We were called to window 21 to hand in all our forms. DS156, DS156K, DS-230 PART 1.(I didnt do DS-230 part 2)And I-134. And all banco popular receipts at around 8:30am. next we went to window 14 to pay the $80 fee for the remaining cost of the visa at 9:45am. At 11:20am we were finally called to window 27 for our interview. the interviewer asked what language we want the interview in. I said english for myself and spanish for my fiance. questions for me the petitioner: 1. How did we meet? 2.where do i work? 3. how long have i been working at my Job? 4. How do i communicate with my fiance? (he thought my fiance can only speak spanish but she speaks english also) 5. How many times have i visited my fiance? questions for my fiance: 1 How did we meet? 2 where did we meet? 3 how many times a day do i call her? 4 tell me you fiances phone number? 5 tell me your fiances home address? And that was that. We were approved. I picked up my fiance and spun her around. The interviewer laughed and told us to go celebrate and gave us the lovely green ticket. And we paid $11 for the Domex service. Based on the demeanor of the officer. He wasnt too friendly and he wasnt mean. He was in between. He seemed to approve us fairly quickly meaning he already made his decision before we went to the window. The following were potential red flags with my petition: 1. My fiance applied for a B2 visa in july 2003 and was denied. But he didnt question it. 2. I met my fiance in 2009 in peru. He felt i didnt have much proof that we communicated between 2009 and 2012 when we were just friends. I did have a photo of when we 1st met. And i did have 10 saved emails we sent each other. but mistakenly he thought we were a couple in 2009 and that i only visited my fiance 4 times from 2009 to 2012. I corrected him and said we started our relationship in april 2012 and i visted 4 times since april 2012 to nov 25th 2013. The following helped me in my petition: FRONT LOAD! FRONT LOAD! AND AGAIN FRIENDS FRONT LOAD YOUR PETITIONS!. Dom rep is known for high fraud so front load. Meaning when u send your I-129f include photos of not just you and your S/O but there families and friends. send your phone logs, FB logs. MSN Chats and Whatsapp chats or any type of chat service you use with the I-129f. I personally sent 30 photos, wrote the names of the persons in the photos and 50 pages total of whatsapp chat logs and FB chat logs and cell phone logs. because of that the officer didnt ask for any new photos or phone logs. The officer didnt even ask for me to prove my affidavit of support. So again front load your petitions to prove your relationship is genuine. Things will be a lot easier for you. One crazy thing that happened to me was that i received my fiances interview letter which was bizarre. Im glad i did because the dom rep post office is awful. So i sent the interview letter to her by UPS. She received it in one day from me. I-129f vs CR1 If want your S/O with you now file the I-129f if you want your S/O with you later, file CR1. I wanted my fiance with me now so i did the I-129f. Thats what worked for me. Well friends thats my review and experience. Visa journey is so helpful. And i thank all for those that helped me. Any questions. Feel free to contact me. I will respond. Take care and may Jehovah bless you all. | 2015-01-28 | |||||||
