I got there at 7:20 and I was the second in line. It doesn't matter what time your interview is, they operate on a "first come first served" basis. Once inside the building, I was asked to show (to check they were in order) the following docs: - birth certificate - police certificates - DS160 confirmation page - 4 Photos - I-134 form I waited for about 10 minutes and was called into a separate room to present the above docs. Meanwhile, the officer (who was Italian and spoke Italian to me), was checking the information on the papers and asked me: - where did I meet my fiancé - what do I do for a living - what does my fiancé do for a living At this stage, I presented: - my fiancé's tax return - our sponsor's tax return and I-134 + IDs - proof of payment of the embassy Visa fees Once done with the docs check, he took my fingerprints and gave me the envelope from the doctor for the officers at the port of entry in the US. I went back to the waiting room and waited about 15 minutes more. This time, for the actual interview, I was called to the standing booth. The man who interviewed me was quite young and friendly. He asked me: - who filed the petition - when did I meet my boyfriend for the first time - when did we get engaged - if he's a US citizen or national - where does he work - how many times I visited him in the US After that, he left for a moment, then came back, and told me: "Congrats, your visa is approved!" Overall, it was so much easier than I thought. I was SO nervous the night before and even before speaking to them. But somehow once I started talking/giving them the papers, I felt at ease (I was well over-prepared). I was surprised they didn't ask or check anything else in terms of documents, especially to prove that the relationship is authentic. I got inside the embassy at 8:10 and was out at 9:20. If I were you, I'd aim to arrive there early so that you can finish early and not go through the whole wait. | 2024-06-14

Quick response. Sent original email at 7:30am and by 10am was scheduled. Sent between 3 emails in total back and forth. Asking for information about beneficiary, case number, along with interview and biometrics dates. Was told I must schedule 5 days before interview. Calendar allows you to schedule biometrics immediately after picking interview date. Must be before interview date. Medical Exam date : 04-23-2024 Had medical exam yesterday, wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be cost wise but each person's case is different. Total cost for us was about 831,000 COP. We went to Dr. Jairo in Usaquen. It was definitely an all day process. Appt was at 9:30am and we were there until about 12pm. X-rays, vision test, reviewing documents, blood tests. Then made an appointment for 3:30 to come back and get scene by the doctor. Was there for about 2 hours. Then told to come back the day before interview at 5pm to collect our documents. Just a heads up, Bogota traffic is very crazy so make sure to account for that when traveling. We arrived 04-29-2024 to pick up our medical exam documents. Was told to pick up at 5pm and when we arrived we needed to wait an additional hour. We actually received the documents at 6:37pm. Biometrics : 04-29-2024 Biometrics appointment was very smooth. We arrived at the facility and there was a long line and many people waiting for their appointment time. The total time to complete was just about 40 minutes. Interview: 04-30-2024 Arrived at interview at 7:00am. Very long line of people, some for CR-1, some for resident visas and many people waiting outside for tourist and student visas. After checking in and supplying all documents waited about 2-3 hours to have actual interview which lasted less than a minute. Questions asked: 1- how we met? 2- what is petitioner profession? 3- if we are married? 4- if petitioner has any pets? 5- how many times did petitioner come to Colombia? 6- What family does applicant know of petitioner? 7- If applicant has any problems with the law? 8 -And if applicant has ever left the country? Literally and I'm not exaggerating it felt like we were only at the window for 1 minute. Petitioner was asked 0 questions. Ceac Update: After interview, noticed that ceac site showed our status as Approved; 3 days later it was changed to issued and I was able to go online and schedule a pick up for Monday 05/06/2024. Flights scheduled for 05/07/2024! POE : Atlanta, Georgia | 2024-05-05
