All i can say is collect all your evidence early. Follow the instructions that come with the i-129F line by line so you dont miss anything. Front load your petition with evidence of your relationship. See your fiance as many times as possible or if travel cost dont fall into your budget then when you visit try and extend your stay to at least a month at a time get to know your love in person. Organize your paperwork and when it comes time for the interview i recommend if your embassy allows it for the petitioner to accompany their fiance to the interview. All these things we did and we got approved with no RFE and no other issues. But mainly when the time seems to be taking long and you start losing hope that is the time to hold on tighter to the one you love. Dont let the stress of this tear you apart. If you are meant to be a couple it will happen and if you are not then you will only know this by really getting to know each other. Good luck guys and thank you for all the advice. :) | 2019-09-06

California | No | Bogota, Colombia | 2017-07-20 | 2017-07-21 | 2018-02-02 | 2018-02-16 | 2018-02-16 | 2018-02-16 | 2018-03-14 | 2018-04-13 | 2018-04-20 | 2018-04-27 | 267* | 1 | 196 | 70 | Here some few comments: 1. I received the NVC letter telling me that they sent the case to the embasy. After a month I did not have any new from them, so I texted and attached the letter where NVC said that they sent the case. After that, The embassy sent me the package (to my email). 2. If you have kids, make sure you get 4 days before the interview to have all the test and medical exams. I called on March 28 and they only had dates for the second and even 3rd week of april. I called all the doctors and I only could find an appt with Dr. Jairo Roa. So call with enough time to make the appoiment. 3. My son got the "tuberculina" test on monday 9. It was pretty easy. The nurse said we have to wait for the reaction until wednesday 11. After doing some research about that test It seems that if the kid got a possitive result they will do an xray and start a treatment (in Bogota). 4. Today I got the blood, urine and X ray. Make sure you are in the lab with enough time cuz the line is loonngg. I got there by 6.10 in the morning and there were 5 people already. After 6.30 more people came and that might have taken a looonnggg time for them to be done. I was done by 7.40. 5. So my son's skin test had a positive result and we had to do an Xray early next day (Thursday) and go back for the results that Thursday in the afternoon. (The xray were ok so we were good). So, I traveled with a kid and 2 cats. For my kid, i needed his father permission (or court order) and birth certificate. For the cats I needed to take them to the vet and then to the ICA (they will check the vet's certificate and will give you another one based on the vet's). I travel from pereira to Bogota in avianca. They weighted the cats and even my carry on luggage. My small cat is 3 kg so I was not worry about her; but the big one is 7.5 kg. So I called Avianca several times and they said the pet should be 20 cm tall (my cat was taller) so I ask to take him by cargo. Then I called United (which was the company I was going to flight with from Bogota to US) and they said they were not accepting pets in cargo (I was freaking out cuz If they dont accept the Cat in cargo then I cant take it) So, I made sure that cat was "enough" comfortable in the soft kennel and pray for Avianca and United to accept it in cabin. I also made sure that the weight of the bags were not more than 10kg. You can only have 1 pet and a carry on and you also have to call to get a spot for your pet cuz they have a limit per plane. So, i did tge imigration part in Houston. 1. I showed the officer my visa and my son's visa plus the sealed packages. 2. They took us to a room where they checked the documents. 3. The officer asked me to go another place for my cats to be checked. 4. Cuz it took so long, they went to bring my bags and they did not even see the documents of my cats. 5. I lost my connection flight, So i had to go to customer service counter. They put us in the next plane (we had to wait 2 hrs). And of course they registered my bags. And that was it, not that hard traveling with a 10 yo kid and 2 cats 😠| 2020-06-30
