Box was 14lbs. Check cashed AM 8/1/16 NOA1 constructively recv'd PM 8/1/16 via text and email with priority date of the 7/27/16. Form I-797C NOA1 dated 7/29/16 recv'd USPS 8/5/16. NOA2 constructively received via USCIS tracking page 8/30/16 with stated NOA2 date of 8/26/16. Received formal confirmation a few days later via mail. NVC welcome letter arrived via email 9/21. Julian date shows case number was assigned 9/20. DS-261 filled out immediately and electronically submitted. AOS invoice was immediately available on 9/21 and payment cleared within a few days. IV invoice took 6 days to arrive via email. Paid 9/28. Send AOD/IV documents together on 9/30. Was instructed to do so via the new cover sheet NVC sent. It had spaces for all the documents and wanted everything in a single packet. Underlined that it was to be a single packet. Oddly, did not include mailing address. Packets delivered by USPS on 10/3. Note, all NVC correspondence via email sent in middle of night. Called NVC 10/25/16. NVC indicates scan date of 10/4/16. Called NVC 11/15/16, told to call back next day. Called NVC 11/16/16, documents did not get reviewed within 6 weeks, put on supervisor review. 3 N/As show on CEAC on 11/21 around 10AM. 6 weeks and 6 days. Confirmed via telephone @ 11AM, case completed on 11/21 and in line for interview at Embassy. Interview date confirmed via telephone on 12/1/16 as being on 1/17/16. They had just scheduled it so letter/email had not been sent yet. Email with interview letter (P4) received extremely late at night on 12/1/16-12/2/16, dated 12/1/16. Also got response to congressional inquiry at same time. Oddly, checklist requested original of I-864, which NVC had already requested the original. Sigh. CEAC shows case is in transit to consular section as of 12/9/16. Medical examination at SLEC on 12/12 and 12/13/16. Result pass. Long line by 5AM. She did not get out until around 4PM first day. Returned second day, left within about 2-3 hours with packet. No immunizations (I had over immunized her beforehand, apparently and HiB/Rota were childhood only and waived). Noted some hygiene concerns about SLEC, including poor blood collection protocol and the fact that prior to testing, potential TB patients are mingling in the crowd. Wife had interview 1/17/16 at USEM Manila. She was in and out in about two hours. Staff were generally friendly, the CO was very friendly. She was told at the time she was approved. CEAC almost immediately reflected visa had been issued. On 1/19, status via email and on USTravelDocs changed to visa being mailed, basically. 2GO did not immediately show tracking. Visa has arrived text received afternoon of 1/20. 2GO did not actually have it until 7PM. Apparently, their tracking system is somewhat questionably accurate, and the texts come from Manila's system automatically, not from your 2GO branch. Regardless, it arrived in a big plastic envelope that made it clear not to open the inner brown envelope. PoE on 2/4/16 via JFK. Zero harassment. In and out of line in five minutes. Didn't hurt that she got grabbed for the *empty* diplomat line to help speed up processing a Cathay flight full of Chinese citizens. Stamped her passport and sent her on her way with no secondary or anything. 2020-10-22
