They sent the passport back to us. We found out we got the IR1 instead of the CR1. (Our two-year anniversary was after the interview but before the visa was approved.) However, the visa deadline to enter the US is based on the medical health check. Try to get the health check later so you have enough time to transition. We received the visa on August 7th and the expiration date was September 15th, not very practical but we made it work. When my husband entered the US, he was put in a room and had to wait an hour for someone to come in and ask him where he would live, which they could check in the system. Then he was free to go. SS received 09/22/2023 (two week wait) and Green card received 10/06/23 (four week wait)	2023-10-07

For 3 months they told me to stop calling them and to wait for the 90 days to be up before filing an inquiry. I called CSC after 30 days and had proof it was delivered by EMS and signed for by Linda Fairbanks. As I was about to assemble a new I-129F packet, the I-130 petition was approved. So, the K-3 was abandon. Had so much trouble with the NVC. Called them numerous times concerning the police report, some of the representatives knew what they were doing, others didn't. It's really a crap shoot. Everything else was ok they said. Later, we found out that that there was a problem with the birth certificate. I had to call to the NVC again. Luckily, my call was answered by a representative that cared about her work and helping others. Now, we are just waiting to hear from Guangzhou, China.	2009-10-06
