I waited on hold for approximately 35 mins, but was given the information over the phone. I received the letter about 1 week after my call. ***2) Regarding Instructions (pkt 3) - After verifying on CEAC that our case was "READY" status, we e-mailed the consulate in Lima to receive the instruction letter. We waited 3 wks and my fiance in Lima never received the letter. After e-mailing the consulate with information required for an inquiry, we received the letter electronically the following day. If sending an inquiry, please be certain to title subject line INQUIRY-(visa case number)-(last name of applicant). The first paragraph must include petitioner full name, applicant full name, type of visa, and contact information for applicant (e-mail, cell phone). ***3) Regarding Embassy Appointment. Arrive EARLY. I recommend 45 min-1 hr minimum. When you arrive to the consulate, you will first confirm your arrival and then go through the security line. Only bring what you need for the appointment. Do NOT bring any electronic devices or even a purse - you will not be able to take it into the embassy. They will make you leave the line to store your purse/devices at a place that is in front of the embassy (costs S/8). Be prepared and dress appropriately. Review the checklist that they send you and make certain you have all the required documents. We watched people that came unprepared sent home and unhappy. Plan for at least 4 hrs. 2021-08-28

When you get notice that it has been sent to the DHL if you live in Lima it will arrive a few hours later. And you can pick it up that day. We were very anxious as many people will be. And left for the USA the following monday. 2017-10-08

We waited outside for about 45 minutes. At the entraces they check your appointment comfirmation page and also the pictures they were very picky, if the picture is too white to dark, or pixels are too notice they will make you take new pictures inside the embassy for the cost of 18 soles for 3 pictures. Once inside they will call you to one of the windows to collect all the documents they requested please make your you take the receipt of the D-260 is we did not have it because they didn’t ask for it on any paperwork they send you but they ask for it at the window also if possible make sure the Petitioner is there, one lady was there by herself and she was ask thousand questions before the interview why he wasn’t there, is a very important step and should be there, I went there with my fiance and we were ask about 4 questions (how we met, where she is gonna be leaving, when you planning to get marry in the states), make sure you know the requirements to get marry in your state. The interview was quick they look at our pictures and the CO said the visa is approve gave us a paper with intructions how to pick your passport and your packet he said it takes about 2 weeka but our interview was April 18th and April 21th the packet and passport was ready for pick-up 2020-04-15
