Sudowpa2 Tania & Kevin Colombia Potomac Service Center Texas Bogota, Colombia 2022-05-01 2022-05-01 2023-02-15 2023-02-20 2023-06-20 2023-08-21 2023-09-18 2021-11-09 477* I will give you an example of what happen to me: 1: August 21st: Interview; was given refusal status 221g (yellow paper slip) for a missing document (Divorce Decree). It wasn't missing, it just wasn't certified so they didn't accept it. 2. August 22nd: I had the courts who had my divorce decree send them to my dad. So, they were coming from Nevada to South Carolina. They sent it by first class USPS and it took 7 days total. This cost me about $30 dollars because I asked for 4 certified copies of the document. 3. August 29th, 2023: My father received the document and sent it to me using FedEx (Make an account, its 40 dollars cheaper) and it got to me by the morning of Aug 31st. this cost me $100.10 dollars just to send a document from USA to Colombia. 4. August 31st: My wife got the documents here at the house and immediately sent them off to Bogota from Medellin. Luckily it got there on Aug 29th at the service center. Which is where they take biometrics. That is the embassy's intake center. 5. Sept 1st: We saw on the DHL waybill that they have signed it over and didn't hear anything after that. We knew that it will be at least tuesday until I hear something because it was Labor Day weekend and they got the document late afternoon Friday. 6. Sept 6th: we got a letter from the intake center saying that they were going to forward the document to the embassy. 7: Sept 11th: I see activity on the CEAC Status: Still refusal but the update date changed. Which means someone looked at it. 8: Sept 13th: I saw more activity in the morning. Saw that it was changed to Administrative processing. Then, changed to 'Issued" a few hours later. Didn't hear anything. 9: September 15th, We got an email stating that they have created a DHL Waybill and it will be on its way. 2024-02-08
