But the security people did make me go through a "next level" luggage scan. And kept asking if I was carrying more than 10000 USD in which I was not and warned me they would go through my luggage and I would get in to trouble if i was lying. It was a bit unnerving as it seems they were trying to catch me out on something. | 2018-04-09 | |||||

However, we front-loaded our I-129F application with all of the evidence up front, sans affidavit of support. We included copies of all boarding passes, itineraries, photos, receipts and correspondence over the last 7 years. On the day of my interview it seemed like there was little they needed to do as our file was packed full of everything they would normally ask for at this stage. Our co-sponsor was accepted without comment despite being my fiance's ex-husband who has remained good friends with her since the divorce. Our age difference was discussed but only so far as "How did your friends and family react?" All in all, despite what felt like an eternity waiting for the NOA2, the process was very smooth. We did not use lawyers. | 2019-05-01 |
