Morg&Dio Diomedes & Morgan Dominican Republic Texas No Dominican Republic 2014-07-17 2014-07-23 2015-02-02 2015-02-12 2015-02-18 2015-03-02 2015-03-17 2015-03-24 2015-04-15 243* 6 194 43 Our cita was at 800am, I had planned to arrive at 7 but was stuck in traffic so we got there around 720, parked for 200 pesos a block before the embassy. There were lines of ppl offering pictures and papers but we just kept walking. We left everything in the car except for a binder, a pen and his wallet. We barely had to wait in line to get in, just had to have appt confirmation ready. They asked for other letter but I told her that is all we got from scheduling it online. She let us through to security, which was quick cause we didn't have anything. I had the cd from the medical results with me and he asked what it was. After security, you pass outside and look for the door that says Entrada to go into the other building. There they give you a number and you sit. Our ticket said we arrived at 730. It's a little chilly I had a light sweater and pants and was fine but I'm from new England my fiance was cold in and button down shirt. There we sat, waited while watching the screens, which called numbers in order at first then started calling random ones for people's second time up to the window. We got called up after maybe an hour and they couldn't find our case in the system. I rattled off the case number the worker looked at me like I was crazy and asked why I had that memorized. They still couldn't find it so we sat back down and in 15 mins we got called back. He asked for ds160 confirmation, acta de buena conducta, birth certificate inextensa, passport (his), medical records, and the ds156k. I didn't do the ds156 but he got us a copy and we filled it out right there. He then had us wait for our next number to be called, said it would be a while because there are a lot of people so we went outside to where they were selling juice and snacks and had one. I was anxious because I couldn't hear numbers from there so we went back in, used the restroom and sat for about 15 mins before our second number was called. We almost missed it, the voice calling them is quiet but I noticed it on the screen so we went up and asked. Turns out we just didn't hear it. We were sworn in by a nice, nervous appearing white male, who spoke a little Spanish but seemed to understand my fiance well (in Spanish) I spoke English. my fiance had to register his fingerprints, asked my fiance first where we met, he answered quick and the interviewer asked him to elaborate. My fiance told him the story. He clarified a few details with me and asked me for my version of how we met. He asked if the day we met was my only trip to see him, my fiance laughed and said no she's been back 8 times. He asked me when we met, I told him in august of 2013. He said "wow that's a lot of visits." He asked to see pics, I gave him about 15, some with his family. He asked if I knew his family I said yes of course I stay there when I visit. He commented on a pic from Las terrenas said he loves it there. He asked me what I do for work and what he does for work. He asked me if we had wedding plans I answered not yet we were waiting on the visa approval today. He said well felicidades su visa has sido aprobada :):) I asked if there was anything else we had to do (I thought we still had to pay domex) he said nope free to go enjoy your day! He said my fiance will get an email when visa is ready for pick up, gave us a paper with instructions for pick up. We said gracias with huge smiles, and headed out. We were so excited we went to celebrate :) We were back at the car at 1030. Wasn't bad at all!! Any questions please feel free to message me!! Now to wait for the visa 2015-09-28
