We were at St. Luke's Extension Clinic at around 4 am, and went on a Wednesday. We brought the documents they asked but the NVC letter. They asked for it even after we showed our appointment letter, but with nice explanation and the power of smile, they said it was okay.. CFO (September 8, 2014) We went early even if we scheduled online. Be sure to ask where is the line for online applicants because they have a separate line for it. Know your fiance's mother's maiden name, fiance's major in college, and provide two phone numbers. Anyway, the seminar went great. There was a group discussion, short debate, sharing of experiences, and lots of explanation about what to do when you get there, what to bring, and how to protect yourself from domestic violence. It took 1 and a half hours for the seminar. One on one interview also went great. Maintain eye contact, show confidence, and you will be good. We brought all the documents just in case the interviewer is a bit moody. Questions asked at one on one interview: 1. How did you meet? 2. When and where did you meet? 3. How long have you known him? When did you become romantic? 4. What was your parents reaction? 5. What did you do in the past 6 months? 6. Tell me about your previous job? Why did you quit? 7. You were a nurse, why did you not work as a nurse? Interview (September 10, 2014) Our schedule was at 7:30, but we were there at 6. Waiting is like forever and make sure you wear your most comfortable clothes. The waiting area is open, but still hot. Keep your eyes for your number flashing on their screens, if you miss it, you might be called last. The first step is giving your DS - 160 and appointment letter to the specific window, then wait for your number to flash for the next step which is finger scanning. It only takes 2-3 minutes. After this, you wait again. Third step is the pre-interview and interview. This time, a Filipino/a would ask for the documents you need. Original copies of birth certificate, CENOMAR, NBI, form I-134 and photocopies of latest ITR or W-2 of the petitioner. While s/he gathers those documents, s/he also asks questions. Questions asked on pre-interview: 1. What is your name, your birthday, your address, your email address? 2. Who is your petitioner? When is his birthday? 3. Where did you meet your fiance? When exactly? 4. When did you become romantic? When exactly? 5. When did you see him in person? 6. How many days did he stay here with you? NOTE: our pre-interviewer was a Filipina and talked too fast like she was in a real hurry. She never smiled and kinda strict. Then another long wait for the interview with the consul. You will see random faces, some are smiling, some are just blank affect, some look panicking because they don't have the documents the consul is asking for. Anyhow, when your number flashed, go straight to the window and start wearing a smile. Put down your purse and documents and show confidence. The consul will ask you to read the oath. Never lie in short. Then the interview begins. Questions asked by the consul: 1. Tell me about your petitioner, where did you meet? When and how did you meet? 2. Who messaged first? You or him? When did you become romantic? 3. What are your wedding plans? Where is your wedding going to take place? His parents will come? 4. What are your plans when you get there? 5. You went abroad, what did you do there? 6. What did you do in the past 6 months? Then another super long wait for the final instructions. It took us 5 hours to finish the interview. We did not hear the word APPROVED. We only heard, wait for your visa being instructed. | 2019-01-17

Delay from getting the visa because of evidence issues. The letter of intent to marry from the beneficiary was expired before the day of the interview took place. 4 weeks now waiting on the Montreal Consulate to send the visa and passport. Later on we found out Loomis Company was incompetent and never told us that the visa arrived September 12th. Loomis is at fault to why we had to wait extremely long for the visa and passport delivery. Montreal Airport security harassed the foreign fiancee nearly making him miss his flight after many unnecessary questions. Questioning the validity of the K1 visa. | 2015-01-21
