Instead you get a transfer letter via email once they are forwarding your petition to the embassy. This email can take several weeks (up to 2.5 months in some cases) from the NOA2 date. Once "Ready" in CEAC, email the embassy for Packet 3 instructions (cairoiv@state.gov). I didn't know this at first and ended up having to request an extension of the I-129F Approval Notice (NOA2). Must have official bilingual birth certificate from the Civil Status Record Office (apparently there are a dozen or so branches throughout Egypt--my fiancé got his at the location in Qena because it was more convenient to where he lives). Packet 4/Interview Appointment email had instructions for CIB receipt. Once the fee was paid at CIB, it took about 24 hours to get into the system in order to get to the confirmation of address on the ustraveldocs site. I still don't know which was the "receipt number" it needed from the deposit slip because it resolved itself once it was processed. | 2023-11-19 | |||||

Gathering all the necessary paperwork was a bit frustrating, we had an issue with getting the CIB payment slip and had to email the embassy to have it fixed. Once we submitted the payment and other documents we received an interview email with the date and time. We had 2 weeks to get medical done and to get the results back for the interview.. my fiancé arrived at 730 am for 8 am interview time. He had a lot of paperwork we had put together for ongoing relationship, but the only thing they asked for was Aramex receipt, address registration , passport photos, passport copy, CIB receipt, military and police clearance… Total time spent at the embassy was 1.5 hrs from start to finish.. | 2023-12-21 | |||
