Sorry it has taken me so long to let waiting/pending fellow VJ'ers know about my process. Our interview was 08/26/2013 @ 7:45am. The plan was to leave our home in Bani @ 5:00, however i am never puntual lol. We arrived for the interview at 6:30am and the lines were so confusing. We were let in @ 7am and given #299. we sat down and waited for his fingerprints, after that around 8am we were called to window 22 and the interrogating began.(tun tun tun)lol The officer was a lady , fairly nice. She asked us our names, when we were married and who all attended. She asked to see pictures of the ceremony and asked for 2 random pictures. She then told me to wait in the lobby and interviewed my husband(the whole time my stomach was in knots, my husband tends to ramble when nervous) She asked him...... -My parents names -How many siblings i have -How many children i have, their names and DOB. -When and where we were last intimate -Where I work and what position. The officer calls me back to the window and sends my husband out, she then asks me all the same questions to verify. She then called my husband back and after rumbling and sorting papers that seem to take forever she closed our file and I saw the lucky green ticket!!!!! I was so excited to see the ticket I didn't even here when she said visa APPROVADA!!!! my husband kissed me and I was stuck lol. We proceeded to pay our Domex and left as fast as we could lol. We were out by 10:am. Domex had my husbands visa ready in 3 days! which I thought was fast being that RD takes their sweet time lol(no offense) As soon as we had the visa on hand we bought my hubby's ticket and he entered the US 09/04/2013. That part was also smooth. I have no complaints. We are finally excited and ready to continue our life together forever :) 2013-09-09
Soraida & Walter Dominican Republic Nebraska No Dominican Republic 2015-03-04 2015-03-09 2015-07-22 2015-08-05 2015-11-16 2014-06-20 257 I must say that fortunately this process was seamless for us. From the time of petition to visa approval, we had no issues. The intervew was scheduled for 9am on 11/15/2015. My wife has an aunt who lives 5 minutes from the US Embassy. We stayed at her house and arrived at US Embassy at 8am. All we brought were our documents in a folder. Security check in went quick. We were then given our number 310 and told to sit and wait for number to be called. Called to window 5 at 11:30am and gave Medical Report, Passport, Birth and Marriage Certificate. The only question was if we had any children together and were do I currently live. We were then told to sit down and wait to be called for the initial interview. I must say the toughest part was waiting all those hours and anxiously waiting for our number to be called again. Finally we were called to window 6 at 2:30pm. We were greeted by a nice young american lady. She swore us in and asked my wife if she ever travelled to any other country. Asked her where was I born. Asked me how many times I've visited. How did we meet. That was it. Approved with no other questions. Did not ask for photos of which we had from all my 10 trips. We are so happy. Now we wait for visa to be issued and then start our lives together. 2015-11-18
