I was there 45 mins prior for the simple fact that traffic in Frankfurt is usually bad but I got through it quick this morning. At a little after 7 am I went up to the building and went "in Line" (I was the only one there for a immigration visa at that time). I had to go up to a window, showed my ID and the letter stating my appointment. Then went through the security check, across the yard into another building where I had to show my ID and my number that they gave me in the beginning and then sat down. I got called twice to two different windows before I got called up for my actual interview. I was so nervous all of the sudden. Well after sitting there for over an our a young guy (the consul) called me up and I really don't want to sound rude but he was def stuck up. It wasn't a nice little conversation how most people had reported in their reviews. He was asking me 87654567 questions and got kind of smart with me. I seriously had the feeling in between that this is it, I will never get to be with my fiance and I need a lawyer. I usually don't get nervous quick and deal with people like him a lot but I really had to bite my tongue. Some of the questions he asked: How did you meet? Where did you meet? Where you guys set up? What was it like? What were you doing in the states? Why were you there for 3 months? Were you unemployed? No but in university and we had long breaks, duh! How did you pay for your trips? Do you know other people there? Where did you stay? When was the last time you seen him? was he here yet? Does he have a passport? No, why not? Never needed it because he was always traveling on orders. HMM no I think he doesn't pay child support. and so on... he really pissed me of with this. Then he was asking about when he got divorced and how many kids and if i get along with her( he only has one). What does she like to do? What does he do for living? Does he live in an apartment? Is he in the service? What were you doing all day while he was at work?..... It really wasn't that pleasant but all that matters is that after 252 days it finally got approved!!! 2013-09-24
