If your ceremony is taking place at US District Court Eastern District (Brooklyn, NY) and you are bringing family and friends, they will have to wait in the cafe on the second floor. They will be able to watch and listen to the ceremony. Cell phones will be collected and you will be given a number to retrieve it on exiting the building. Liquids are not allowed in the building (i.e. water, juices), however, you may purchase them in the cafeteria on the first and second floors. I hope this helps someone. Best of luck! |

USCIS confirmed they were able to reuse the biometric data on file so appointment was waived
Status changed to Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled 2 days after my interview, and then 2 days after that I received an update in my account that Oath Ceremony notice had been mailed. I was able to check the PDF version of my letter and saw my ceremony date listed as 3/1/23. |

After getting a number, average wait time is about 90 minutes for the interview but ended waiting over 2 hours before being called. Only a few questions on history/government was asked. Didn't really look at supporting documentation binder though same as in system application, but asked about random items from file and confirming if you knew your own info and spouse info. Then you write a sentence on the tablet (use the stylus). A strange ~15 minute interview and got a printout confirming you passed even though it said doesn't have authority to approve yet. Seemed longer due to officer texting while interviewing. Next day, you get a notification in your online account that a notice was mailed for the scheduled oath ceremony. All good. |
