This was a combined I-751 and N-400 interview. My husband went into the Washington Field Office in Fairfax, VA. I waited in the car in a nearby parking lot. There was absolutely no one in the waiting room. They asked him the general I-751 questions (where did you meet your spouse?, etc.) but did not ask me to join the I-751. They also did not ask for any of the supporting evidence we had prepared to show continuing proof of valid marriage subsequent to sending in the I-751 packet. They then moved into the citizenship questions as well as the reading and writing. He passed and received the Form N-652 Naturalization Interview Results saying that his N-400 application has been recommended for approval. He was in and out in about 90 minutes. With respect to the oath ceremony, we live in DC. So the oath is given by a sitting judge. The standard date is the second Tuesday of the month for oath ceremonies -- pre-covid. However, they are now scheduling smaller ceremonies more frequently. There were 12 at my husband's oath ceremony. The oath ceremony is at 333 Constitution Avenue, N.W. It took 3 hours, much longer than expected, as the USCIS officer took time to review each of the 12s documents, etc. |

Got a letter for the interview while I-751 was still pending. Interview ended up being a combo interview as expected, with citizen spouse part of the ROC part then after the citizenship interview was just beneficiary |
