LEAH & DAVE Dallas/Lewisville TX Lockbox New York City NY 2010-07-09 2010-07-14 2010-09-03 2010-12-09 Yes 2011-01-05 I attended my interview on Thursday December 9th in Suffolk County Long Island. After checking in, it took about an hour and 15 minutes before I was called back for the interview. The officer swore me in and then asked if I was changing my name and I replied no. She then administered the test. Some of the questions I was asked included: "Who were brought to America as slaves? What is the name of the vice president? Who makes federal laws? How many amendments are in the constitution? Name a reason why the British migrated to America? Afterwards she asked me the questions on the application and asked me to answer yes or no (i.e. "Was I ever a prostitute?"...etc). Then she began to randomly ask questions about my husband's occupation, our address, our phone number, the date we married, and asked to see evidence that we were living in the same residence. I provided her with the last three years tax papers, a utility bill in both of our names, and our home owners insurance policy in both our names. Lastly, she asked for a copy of his birth certificate. She was satisfied with my responses, congratulated me, and told me that if her computer wasn't down that I could have sworn in within the hour. I felt a bit disappointed upon hearing those words, but she assured me that within a week or two I would be sworn in. The entire interview took about 15 minutes and it definitely was not as bad as I thought. 2011-01-13
