We arrived about 15 minutes before our interview time and were taken in about 10 minutes after that. The whole process took about 15 minutes. Our interviewer was very nice and it was more like a conversation than anything else. I came very prepared, but all that she asked for was my husband's and my ID's (I used my EAD/AP card), and our documents to prove joint assets. I had our lease, our bank account statements (most recent for checking and saving), our health insurance cards, my husband's life insurance policy with my name as beneficiary, and a bill from dental surgery I had that my husband paid for, with our address on it. We also brought a photo album that spanned our whole relation, with around 150-200 photos in it. She spent most of the interview asking about how we met and the relationship progressed, and then various questions as she looked through all of the photos. She even complimented me on my wedding dress and was just generally pleasant. I rambled a bit and said something wrong, and she laughed and told me it was okay and normal to be a bit nervous. She approved my AOS after about 10 minutes of talking and looking at photos, then had us sign a paper, gave me info about the next steps in 2 years and future possible citizenship (which I already knew because of VJ), and told me I should expect my green card in about a week and a half. It was honestly one of the most enjoyable parts of the whole process so far. We are both overjoyed and now looking forward to a couple years where we can just relax and enjoy our new life together. | 2016-12-08 | |||

Otherwise, we had our interview in less that 90 days! To our surprise, the interviewer only wanted to speak with Larisa (she also brought her friend as an interpreter just in case). I never was called into the room nor did he need our documents. They walked out in to waiting room with big smiles in just 30 minutes ...and that was that!! We now expect to receive her Green Card in 30 days! We give immense thanks to Visa Journey and individual members for advice and step by step planning. It was time-consuming but really quite easy. | 2016-05-14 |
