A & A K1 Tucson AZ 2015-03-20 2015-03-24 2015-04-16 2015-06-02 2015-06-02 Yes No 2015-06-10 I am a March 2015 AOS Filer and my GC got approved on the spot. So here's what I brought on the AOS Interview; 1. INTERVIEW LETTER plus all the letters we received when we applied for AOS under K1. The guards will ask it right away and the front desk as well to give you a number 2. Passport of me and my husband 3. Birth Certificate (2 of us) 4. Marriage Certificate/License 5. All joint accounts that we have ( joint savings and checking bank account, rental lease, utility bills, life insurance) 6. 2 Personal letters coming from our friend and relative that they know us having a bonafide marriage 7. My husband's job offer letter 8. bank statements 9. All W2s and ITRs (2012-2014), Pay Stubs (last 2 months) 10. Social Security Card 11. I-94 and Travel history 12. Copies of the whole AOS papers I sent USCIS 13. Pictures I think the most important here are the joint accounts that you have. The Immigration Officer photocopied everything that we have. Here's the summary of our Interview; We went there around 11:10am for our 11:15am interview. The guard asked the interview letter and we did the checking of things in our bags. After, we went inside the room and went to the front desk to give the interview letter. The lady asked us to wait. After 5 minutes , the Immigration Officer approached us and we headed to her office inside the long hallway of offices. When we're at her office, she let us swear and raised our right hand to tell nothing but the truth. So after that, the questions began. She first asked me my complete name, if I have aliases, the address of where we lived, my birthday, where's my POE, what date did I entered, our wedding date, when and where did me and my husband meet. She let me tell our love story :) Also, my previous addresses outside US, my previous job, my birthday. and if I was refused before on coming here in the US, when did we became bf/gf, our anniversary, if I have EAD card or driver's license and needs to show her. She also asked my husband his job and the history of his previous jobs, his previous address, how did we meet and where, when did he proposed, if he met my family, his birthday, where did we go on our honeymoon. After that, we got approved right away :) Thank you Lord! I will add some questions if I forgot something but basically it's all about our whole relationship as bf/gf until we got married. Our interview was actually very detailed though but to me, if you're in a REAL relationship , you'll have no problems at all because you'll know this by heart :) My tip is really prepare/organize all your papers and try to relax on the interview itself. Dress properly. My husband and I wore our suits and I guess it's better to be overdressed than under dress most especially you'll be talking to an Immigration Officer. Try also to review everything with your husband the day before like make a Q and A questions on your relationship. That's what we did :) Most importantly, pray before going outside your car and ask for God's guidance and everything will be alright. :) 2018-10-05
Sailor Dave Larisa & David K1 Tucson AZ 2016-01-04 2016-01-25 2016-01-25 2016-02-11 2016-05-03 2016-05-03 2016-05-03 Yes Most everything has moved quite smoothly with no speed bumps except that I actually forgot to sign the last page of the I-485!! ha ha. Otherwise, we had our interview in less that 90 days! To our surprise, the interviewer only wanted to speak with Larisa (she also brought her friend as an interpreter just in case). I never was called into the room nor did he need our documents. They walked out in to waiting room with big smiles in just 30 minutes ...and that was that!! We now expect to receive her Green Card in 30 days! We give immense thanks to Visa Journey and individual members for advice and step by step planning. It was time-consuming but really quite easy. 2016-05-14
