My spouse recently returned to the United States via the Charlotte International Airport. He has an I-551 temporary green card stamp in his passport. He reported having a positive experience at the airport. He started his journey in Egypt and came to the United States via London. I was a nervous wreck waiting for him to come out of the gate which took about an hour after they landed in Charlotte. He stated they asked for his address in Charlotte but no other personal questions. I have been dealing with the immigration system since 2014, and this was some good luck in 2024. The immigration system affects the American citizen just as much as the spouse.
