All ended okay but they definitely made us very nervous. The officer reviewed our documents, asked us the same basic questions again: where did you meet? How long have you been together? He also asked us if WE had printed out the forms "online" ??? They were in a sealed envelope! He then asked us where our A-number was. We had no idea, we had all the documentation from the embassy and K1 visa application. It wasn't on the forms given to us by the embassy. He explained it was for our benefit, that we needed the A-number. He asked us to step aside. Another officer came by and asked if everything was okay, we explained what was going on. We were taken into a holding room. It was so intimidating and pitiful. We spoke to a woman who had been there for three hours. There were signs that said no cell-phones. My fiance could not handle the panic and decided to google what the A-number was. Right about then (ten minutes into our wait) they called his name and said he was free to go, passport was stamped.
