Arrived at JFK on a Saturday morning around 5:45am. We were in business class and were among the first in line at Immigration. I (petitioner) accompanied my wife to the visitor / visa line. We submitted everything via CEAC and did not receive "packet IV" back from the consult. Her visa and admission form (normal piece of paper, received unsealed from the consult) state "IV docs in CCD."
I handed over both our passports to the agent and stated that my wife was entering for the first time on her CR1 visa. He asked for our packet; I replied that it's in the CCD system, showed him the line "IV docs in CCD", but also stated that I have copies of everything from our interview. He was unfamiliar with the electronic system, but friendly, and accompanied us to secondary. At secondary the agent said "see here, IV docs in CCD, they're in the system. they're all good- give them the admission stamp and they can go."
We were done in less time than it took to walk from the plane to customs.. (almost 10 minutes!). Nice end to a 13.5 month process.
