My now husband travelled with me to the U.S. and got in line with me for non-citizens while I was not only wearing a "bride" sweatshirt, but also my wedding dress and the sealed envelope I received from my consulate. The lines were not bad at all and the officer we talked to was very nice. We had a very nice and friendly conversation in which he opened the envelope I gave him, he asked about our wedding plans and even joked about my husband not wearing a matching sweater with me. He also had to ask another officer on how to proceed regarding k1-visas until he asked us to follow us for additional screening. On the way, he alarmed two officers coming our way with the following words to make room for us to carry our carry-ons (my dress) through the walkway: "Watch out, I got bride and groom coming" and they jokingly responded that he was serious by looking at us. :D In the room, we were told to sit down and to wait. The room is not the prettiest and was pretty crowded with other people waiting. After a maximum of 10 minutes, I saw a man stamping my passport before calling my name so he then just reminded us to adjust status and welcomed me to the U.S..
It was very easy and comfortable. I almost could not understand why and how quick and fast we were but I was nervous for absolutely no reason.
