Plane landed at 9 AM instead of right time of 7 AM. Was seated in row 20 so was able to disembark quickly...rushed towards immigration (last time i took it easy and 3-4 planes landed at the same time and it took me an hour in line so decided to make it quick this time)...was one of the first i line, within a minute, i was called by the immigration officer who took my right hand four fingers print....did something on the computer and within 30 seconds told me to proceed to window 20.
I thought it was some special window but it was in the same row as all the other windows and i was at this time beyond the immigration section...so i crossed this window 20..and called out to the officer and said, Excuse me, but i was told to go to a window 20 and am not sure whether it is this one or there is some other window 20.
The officer smiled and said, this was the one.
Took my photo, asked me how my work in home country was...i said, i now have no work in home country and that i am now in the US permanently.
He took my packet, confirmed if my US address was ok, tore open the envelope that i had protected with my life and stamped my passport.
In under 2 minutes I was across.
Was greeted as well as treated very nicely.
