I went into the usual screening area for arrivals into Atlanta and was taken around the electronic passport machines to the desks you go to when you fly in for the first time.
The CO asked who I was here to see (my fiancè) and why (to get married), which then gave me the opportunity to hand over my package. He took the package and fingerprints from my left hand, then a picture. He wrote K1 on the packet and passed it over to a lady who took me to a waiting area. I waited around 40 minutes and was called over. My passport had already been stamped and signed by the new CO and all he did was hand over a sheet about how to file a petition for a fiancè(e) (really??) and how to adjust status. In total I was there for an hour. The CO said welcome to the United States and saw me off with a smile!
Easy peasy - just the waiting that drives one slightly crazy...
