My husband arrived at around 11AM at Terminal 4 via Asiana Airlines. He was one of the first to arrive at the immigration/customs area. He greeted the officer and handed him the packet from the embassy and the CD from SLEC. The officer returned the CD saying he didn't need it and continued to look through the papers; he then stamped my husband's passport, and said "Welcome to the United States!" That was it! It didn't take any longer than 3 minutes... the wait for his luggage was 1hr though, which really sucked, but at least going through immigration was a breeze 
We received my husband's SSN a week after he arrived.
