ALLOW AT LEAST A 3 HOUR LAYOVER IF THIS IS YOUR POE AND YOU HAVE A CONNECTING FLIGHT.
Landed at 1.25pm, as it was a long haul flight the wait to clear immigration took around an hour and a half. Presented my packet at the desk (my fiance was with me), after the CO opened it and input details into the computer and stamped some pages, we were taken down to an interview room, it's just a room with several COs and a waiting area. My packet and passport was handed to a CO who did a lot of computer inputting and more stamping for around 10 minutes then I was called up and had my passport handed back to me. That was it. Nothing spectacular, quite anti climatic with no crowds waving banners, clapping and cheering.
If you know the airport then you shouldn't have any problems if you have a connecting flight. I had a 3 hour and 40 minute layover, my connecting flight was delayed for a further 45 minutes and I still barely had time to get through immigration, collect our bags, recheck them and find exactly where we were in the airport before boarding our next flight.
All in all, painless entry, no questioning, just paperwork on their side and that's it.
