I was so fearful of having my fiancé take a connecting flight having never left his country before but there was really nothing direct available. I knew I had to avoid Miami at all cost. I, myself, as a seasoned traveler have found myself extremely frustrated and stranded overnight due to the new greatest and latest kiosk system...but I digress. We chose FLL and it was seamless. As soon as he got off of the plane, he asked a nearby officer where he should go because he was on a K1 visa. She directed him to one of the lines. The wait was short and once he was called up to the officer he was asked where he was going, do you have your packet. The officer took his fingerprints and asked my fiancé to follow him to another room which was empty. It was a bit after 11am. He waited about 5 minutes and then the officer called him and returned his passport and boarding pass and said that he was good to go. We had trained for so many potential roadblocks that my fiancé was stunned at how effortless the whole process was. Sadly, my fiancé had a 4 hour layover to pass but better extra time than to be cut short. My fiancé says the whole process took less than a half an hour. Go figure!javascript:emoticon(' ')
