Hello, I just crossed Toronto Pearson Airport POE, currently waiting for my flight, so I decided to share my experience with you.
I got dropped off to the airport at 12:50, checked my luggage at the Air Canada counter, and was told that I needed to take my luggage with me to customs, to the F gates entry point. There was barely anyone in the customs area, so I got to an agent booth right away. Handed in my passport and K1 package and told the officer I am entering on K1 visa. He instructed me to the secondary inspection point, put my passport, declaration card and boarding pass in a yellow folder.
Once inside the secondary area, I handed in the yellow folder, and was told to have a seat, and I would be called by name. I got there at 13:00 and wasn't called until 13:50. There were 10 travellers/family ahead of me, so that's why the long wait. Also half the staff were on lunch break.
Once I got called, I handed the officer my unopened K1 visa package and he told me to have a seat. 2.5 minutes later, he called me, showed me my passport with the admitted K1 stamp, valid until November 28, told me to follow the green arrows to the exit. I asked if I would get the I-94 electronically, and he said yes and handed me a little pamphlet with the website where to get it. I was not put in a room, was not asked any questions, absolutely nothing.
Overall experience was great. Except for the wait, but it was not their fault, so I can't rate on that.
Side note:
While waiting, there was a CBP officer, saw that there was a hot blond chick in the waiting area. When he was done with his current traveller, he went over to the bin where they put the yellow folders, sorted by first come first serve basis. He flipped each of the yellow folder, looking at the passport and pictures, and picked the one that belong to that girl, which was clearly not the next in line. When he was done with her, as she left, he checked her out from behind and it was real obvious. A few of us in the waiting area saw that and he looked ashamed. He was a big guy, sweaty and had a goatee. Just saying.
Good luck with your POE experience and beyond.
Cheers
