My husband and I were in line for 30 seconds, then it was our turn to see an officer. He saw my passport and stamped it. Then, he looked at my husband's passport and then, when he was about to open the yellow envelope, he asked for the Customs and border protection form, which we didn't have. He told us to go fill out one and go with a different officer. We did. About three minutes later, it was our turn again. I told the officer my passport was already stamped and explained the reason. He took a look at it and gave it back to me. Then he asked why we didn't go back to the same officer and I explained. He was OK with it. He took my husband's passport, opened the yellow enveloped, took photo and fingerprints. Then he asked me: who is that? I said: my husband. He smiled and started looking at our I-864 form like for 30 seconds; just staring at it. Then, he stamped the passport, asked us to wait for him, came back immediately and said we were good to go.
