I went directly to the "non residents" general line, waited for about an hour, and then in the middle of the line, there was an officer pre checking everyone's passports and comparing their pictures with their actual faces. When my turn was there, he got my passport and upon seeing my K1 visa, told me to go to the "tripod area". It might be a good idea to identify yourself as a K1 visa holder and ask where the tripod area is, to save some time. An officer then escorted me to the tripod area, where there were about 4 other people waiting. She took my passport and my brown envelope and put it in a clear folder, behind other many folders. It looked like i would have to wait for a long time. After an hour, an officer who was passing by looked at me and realized I was with a baby, so he put my file forward and I was next in line. The officer then took my fingerprints and my picture, and kept typing, making copies of documents and passport pages and all that. He asked me what I intended to do now (get married in 90 days is the right answer) and if my fiance was with me (no, he was picking me up). He told me I could not leave the country before the process was done unless I got an AP (which I already knew of course, thanks VJ!) and sent me my way. Did not welcome me to America. The whole thing was ok-ish, I have been treated worse. He did not ask me much but it took a long time and it just seemed like he was in a bad mood. Just be polite, look for the tripod area and answer everything with a "yes sir" and "no sir", wait for your turn, don't be nervous and don't worry if there is a connection. Even if you miss it, they will put you on the next flight available for free. Good luck everyone
