All in all, it was pretty smooth but took 2.5 hours! We must have shown up at just the wrong time... the line on the visitor side was very long and took 1hr 15min to get through. After checking passports and visas, we were asked to wait for someone to come and escort us to the "interview office". I was not allowed in with my fiance and her two young kids. It was quite boring for them waiting but finally... after an hour... they were called. Iris was asked a few questions about when we met, when and where we were getting married, etc. We had not yet made plans so her answer was very straightforward... "within 90 days... the sooner the better". That seemed acceptable and within 15 minutes it was all over and they walked out and we were set free into the Houston "wild". Well... in the customs line were were subjected to another long line but that moved much after and only took about 10 minted. But then we were also pulled aside and had all of our luggage x-rayed... so just another process to endure. Our plane landed at 4pm, we actually left the airport at about 7:15pm. People were generally accommodating but it is the government you know!
