I had read a lot of POE reviews before boarding my plane, and saw that San Diego was always good.
I was therefore ready to answer few questions.
The way it happened was the following.
I was standing in line with my sealed package and my passport. I got called to a desk. The CBP officer asked me what was the purpose of my visit today. I answered that I was coming on a K1 visa, and I was here to marry my fiancee. He called another office who guided me to a bench, and asked me to sit there while they were checking my package. About 10 minutes later, I got called inside the office.
They had opened my sealed package, and asked me a lot of questions about my girlfriend, her family, our wedding. All the questions were easy to answer, and it should be easy for everybody to answer if you have a bona fide relationship.
At the end, they made me sign the I-94 form, and asked me when the wedding was taking place, who will come and so on. They were always nice and respectful.
At the end they asked me if I had brought any gift for my fiancee, question to which I answered negatively. They all laughed and told me that I shouldn't take bad habits like that.
If you are not hiding anything it should be easy, just be ready for some questioning.
It makes it even better when you can finally hold your fiancee/fiance in your arms and think back about the whole process.
