My POE was at Newark, NJ. I flew in on a Tuesday and to my surprise there was barely even a line at customs, I'd flown to this airport a few months prior and it was BUSY.. Anyways I joined the visitors line and waited maybe 15 minutes before being called to the front, I simply presented my white envelope and said I was activating a K1 visa. He told me to open up my envelope which seemed a little odd to me since I thought he was supposed to but no big deal I opened it and he took out the papers and looked a little confused, he said something like "Where's the front page?" Then he looked through and asked the CO next to him "Do K1 stamps get a date" after about 5 minutes of him looking lost he finally took me to a back room where there was a few other people sat waiting, he put my papers in a plastic folder and left it at the front, eventually I was called up and asked a few questions e.g "When are you getting married" "Does her parents know about the marriage" "What do you do for a living". In my opinion this was worse than my actual interview at London as the COs are much more intimidating! In the end he stamped my passport and I was on my way!
