There was quite a long queue at immigration due to 2 flights arriving at the same time. I asked if there was a line for new immigrants but was told just to go through the 'visitors and visas' line. The wait was about half an hour. The immigration officer I got was ok, definitely not the friendliest but not rude either. I didn't have to go to a separate area, he cut open the sealed envelope and scribbled over my visa then asked some questions like "do you have a date you're getting married?", "How did you meet your fiance?" and "what kind of work do you do?" I was a bit confused by that question because obviously I can't work, not sure whether he was trying to figure out if I was planning to work illegally before I'm able, or if he was just seeing what sort of work I'll be going into eventually.
Then he gave me my passport and customs form back and I was done. I collected my bags and went through customs. I got asked basically the same questions again by the customs officer. I think I confused him by accidentally putting USA as my country of residence on the form, so for future reference put your home country for this question.
All in all it only took me about 45 mins from getting off the plane to re-checking my bags, and was fairly easy.
