We flew together (USC and fiance) from Australia via Fiji Airways, landing about 12.30pm on the Monday. There was basically no line at immigration and after waiting for just 2 people ahead of us, it was our turn.

Me, as the USC, said hello and that I was accompanying my fiance on a K-1. He asked if we were family, and I replied that I was his fiance. He was fine with that, opened the packet and we basically chatted about the weather and a few other casual topics. The officer was friendly and said with a smile, "It's because I have to say this, but if he changes his mind, you have to leave in 90 days!"

He looked over the documents, typed in the computer a bit, and was very thorough in ensuring everything was stamped correctly in my fiance's passport. He then said "Good luck" and let us go with no hassle. At that point I was a bit jetlagged and looked around for my passport, after which he testily told me that it was the first thing he gave back to us. So other than my miffing him a bit, it was very smooth.

Incidentally, I asked the lady directing people into the appropriate lines, and she said it was up to me, that we could go through separately or together in the Visitor's section - I'm aware that other reviewers here have had different responses!
