Philly was my POE for my Thanksgiving trip to see my fiancee on the VWP. This wasn't the easiest POE I've had (in fact the most tricky) but I did manage to get through so I could spend Thanksgiving with my fiancee's family.
Got asked the usual question - what was the purpose of the trip. Was honest and said I was spending Thanksgiving with my fiancee and her family. At that point the questions really started coming. Committed the cardinal sin of dealing with CBP - gave too much info at the start.
-How long are you staying for? (12 days)
-Where are you going after this? (Cranston, RI)
-How much money do you have? (Over $600 plus my bank card for emergency)
-When was your last trip over here and how long for? (23rd December 2011 for 19 days)
-What's the deal with things? Are you moving over here, or is she moving to you?
(I'm moving here - in fact, I've got my embassy interview on the 10th so I have to go back!)
As soon as I said the last part he nodded and went "Got it." and that was that - stamp in the passport, and off I went.
