When I got to the passport control I tried to find an I-94, but could only find the foreign language ones, so opted for the French form (English translation was on it) Then I queued up at the usual passport check point for a long time (I always manage to pick the slowest queue!) I was then escorted to another area (to the left as you look out towards the baggage area). Only one guy on the desk in this area, so I had to wait a while for him to get to me, even if there were only a family of 3 and a single lady in front of me(and he was also approving passengers in wheelchairs at the same time). I was told that in no way was I obliged to get married and if I wanted I could return home any time in the 90 days. There was a water fountain and restrooms in the area that you could use. Eventually I was approved with no problems, When leaving the baggage area the customs guy was interested in what I had with me (3 huge bags including a bedding roll). But when he saw that I was immigrating he didn't cause me any problems. I did miss my connection, but to be honest, I knew I hadn't really left enough time to get it. I was able to get on another plane without any problems (Alaska Airlines, no extra charges). So overall, no problems but it did take a long time, but who cares, they let me in!
