Arrived at Chicago O'Hare from London at about 1.30pm. Was told to queue up at the visitors border control. Was seen by an officer within five minutes. He took the sealed envelope and put in in a pink folder. Asked for my fingerprints and was told to collect my luggage and head for customs. Once I collected my bags I went through customs and they directed me to the 'New immigrant' area. I gave the pink folder over to a customs officer and he asked me to sit and wait to be called. Within five minutes another officer called me over to a desk and asked me how long had I been married, to which I replied 16 months. He then asked for my signature on two forms plus I had to give my fingerprints once again. After this he stamped my passport and told me to head for bay number four. Here I had to load my suitcases on a conveyor belt to be scanned. After this had been completed I exited that area to be welcomed by my husband at the arrivals gate...All in all an easy POE.....
