I queued in the wrong line! But it paid off.
I came of the plane at San Fran International and jumped in the queue for 'New Immigrants' (or something like that) as opposed to Foreign Nationals or US Citizens queue. As I was waiting second in line, one of the customs officers informed me I was in the wrong queue and needed to get in line with the Foreign visitors, however as we both turned around another whole plane had just joined the back of this long line with was now 100+ so he let me get served there. 
The customs officer took my brown envelope, explained I had to get married in 90 days, asked me the wedding date (which followed two weeks later) and stamped my passport. Really simple, easy experience. I was glad after an 11 hour flight!
