I flew in with my husband from Guatemala (he is the LPR). We were directed to the 'Tripod' area when we entered the customs line when the lady saw that we had an unopened manila envelope. There was only one other person there and they were just finishing up. There was only one man behind the counter and we gave him my husband's passport and envelope and he told us to have a seat. So we sat for about five or ten minutes before he called us back up there and took my husbands fingerprints and told him that he would get his actual green card and social security card in the mail later on and said 'Welcome'. It wasn't very welcoming at all, but it was not a hassle and we weren't asked any questions at all. Overall a good experience.
