My fiance, Michel arrived to JFK on September 9. His flight arrived at 12:30. He had to wait more than 4 hours for his case to be processed. He said that as soon as the officials saw that he was entering on a K-1 visa, they switched his case to a different pile. He said this happened several times. He said that one of the officials asked him if he was marrying for convenience or for love. When he began to answer, the guy started talking over him and saying, "blah blah blah." That really does not seem like an appropriate way for an immigration official to behave, but whatever. Once they started reviewing his case, it only took about 10 minutes. The waiting was the worst part.
