My POE experience in Atlanta was really smooth.
I got to the POE area and there was a sign with arrows indicating where the US citizens and tourists line were. The same sign also said "Immigration visas - TRIPOD". The Tripod was the first and larger booth before tourist visa lines, and there were a few chairs in front of it (no scary room).
When I got there there was no line at all. I went straight to to booth, gave them my passport and my sealed envelope and was told to sit on the waiting area. After around 5 minutes (at most) this nice guy called me and asked me a few questions like "Why am I entering the US", "Who am i marrying", "Where am i going to live", etc, and then he told me to sit for another minute, and called me again and explained that I had 90 days to get married and apply for AOS, and good luck!
