Quick summary: zero hassle.
After the arrival we were directed into a huge processing hall with many of booth-stands (with customs officers inside). People were politely organized into lines for those stands. When my turn came, I presented my documents and stated my visa type (K-1). Officer poked around in the computer, ask some basic questions, took my sealed packet of documents and asked me to wait right there for another customs representative. He showed up almost immediately, took the documents and guided me into waiting room of sorts. I presume its the "complicated status immigrants" room. Waited about 15 minutes, my name was called, and me and some other immigrants were taken to another room. There I waited about 10 minutes, my name was called, I was asked why I arrived, who's my fiancee, and my documents were checked in front of me. Signed something, was given stamped I-94 back. They kept my sealed envelope of documents.
And off I went, into Houston wilderness! ...actually, took a connecting flight to LA 
Easy, would recommend as POE.
